What if I already have guests?
Then you only need editing. An editing service charges $800 a month for audio and $1,800 with video, for four episodes. Studio makes four finished episodes a month, with video and short clips, for $97.

What is a finished episode?
A finished episode is a recording we turn into a show that is ready to publish. Every plan includes four a month. Each extra one is $49, and you see the count before you record.
- The edit. Ums, tangents and dead air are removed. The camera switches to whoever is talking.
- A title, a description and show notes.
- Six short vertical clips with captions, ready for social media.
- Ask for changes as many times as you like. The price does not change.
Will I be charged for every change?
No. Some tools sell AI credits. Every edit uses some up, so you stop asking for the small fixes that make an episode good. Some services charge for each episode. Then every week you have to decide if this one is worth paying for.
We do neither. Your price is the same every month. Ask for a new intro, cut a tangent, redo the clips, or start the whole edit again. The price does not change. Nothing counts while you record, and nothing counts while you edit.
What will I actually pay?
A weekly show on Engine pays $297 a month. Here are the four kinds of show we see most, what each one pays, and what the same thing costs elsewhere.

What is unlimited on every plan?
Recording, transcripts and hand editing are unlimited on every plan, even the cheapest one. A studio you are afraid to open is not a studio.

Their prices are linked on this page. Engine does that job for $297. If you only need editing, services charge $800 to $1,800 a month for four episodes. Studio is $97.
- Why is there no charge per episode or per AI edit?
- Because a price that goes up with every change makes you stop asking for changes. And small changes are what make an episode good. Some tools sell AI credits. Some services charge for each episode. We do neither. Your price is the same each month, no matter how many passes you ask for.
- What counts as an episode on Engine?
- Any episode you record in the studio with a guest, whether we found them or you did. It counts when it is recorded. If a guest never shows up, it costs nothing. Four a month are included. Each one after that is $49, and you see the count before you press record.
- Do I have to find my own guests?
- Not on Engine. Tell us who your ideal customer is. Each month we find four people who match. We write the invites for you to approve, and we write the follow-ups. You send them from your own account with one click. Nothing goes out that you did not read. On Studio, you bring the guests.
- Is there a free trial?
- The guest finder is free to try: sign in, tell it your next topic, and see who it proposes. Every paid plan starts with a short call. We set up your first show with you: who you want on it, what it is about, and how it should look. Doing that together is what makes the show work. It is not something you can do alone in an app.
- Can I get a surprise bill?
- No. Your bill only changes if you record more than four episodes in a month. Each extra one is $49, and you see the count before you record. There is no timer while you record or edit. There are no credits. Asking for another pass on an episode is free.
